A trip to Rwanda ignited my passion for working with vulnerable children and their families, to improve their quality of life. I sponsored a deaf, mute, and HIV positive child there by providing him with access to medication and special-needs schooling. My placement is based in Lilongwe, Malawi, with the Jesuit Refugee Service. I will liaise with women’s and craft groups, a community garden group, and additional projects in the Dzaleka Refugee Camp. I am blessed to have this opportunity and thankful for your support – if you’d like to stay in touch over the coming year, follow along atwww.isaiahoneseventeen.ca.
